Self Assessment

I have always liked history and learning about the wars, especially the Civil War. In the beginning of the year, in that hand activity, the Civil War was my "What do you want to learn more about". I believe I have done fairly well during this quarter, mid semester. I like how we were introduced how to research and how not to plagiarize while summarizing/paraphrasing, so we will know what to look out for when we actually start doing independent research. I have certainly developed on how to sympathize and/or empathize to historical society and culture, how to put research into your own words and to always give credit, and broadened my ability to find appropriate websites for researching. I anticipate that we will still keep in mind the skills and topics we have learned so far to further more understand what we are going to learn, that there will be much more independent assignments and tests/quizzes, and a lot more reading to take notes on. Also discussions/projects/presentations we will need to best prepare for later on this year.
